6th Degree Helio Gracie black belt Master Manoel Tavares will be training at Victor Huber BJJ in June and will teach a seminar on Saturday June 30th, 2012. So mark your calendars and be prepared to learn a wealth of knowledge from Master Manuel.

Victor Huber BJJ: New Location in Atlantic Beach!

Victor is proud announce the new location of the Victor Huber Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Atlantic Beach! The facility has been in the works for a while now and is finally ready for primetime. With a 1,000 square feet of brand new Swain mats, we are ready to roll! The academy will now offer an expanded schedule of classes: M-W-F Gi at 7:15pm and Tuesday/Thursday No-Gi at 7:15pm. This is in addition to the current lunchtime classes. So come join us for our grand opening class at 7pm Wednesday April 18th!

Congratulations to the team at the Jax BJJ Open!

Team Victor Huber brought home four gold medals, a silver and a bronze at the 2012 Jacksonville BJJ Open on March 24th, 2012. Everyone competed well and represented this wonderful martial art that we love so much! Congratulations Rob, Cecilia, Tim, The Bus, Darren, Boogie and everyone else who came to support and coach the team. It’s a great start to the 2012 competition season.

A huge thanks to Royler Gracie for one of the best seminars that we can remember. Royler visited our St. Augustine branch at Ancient City Martial Arts. Royler showed an amazing array of self-defense techniques and very technical closed guard, open guard and butterfly guard passes. Thanks to Victor for bringing his master to St. Augustine and thanks to Michael for your awesome facility.

Victor is proud to announce he expanding his schedule of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes in the heart of St. Augustine at Ancient City Martial Arts located in the World Gym on US1. Classes are Tuesday at 7:30pm, Wednesdays at 8pm and Thursday evenings from 8pm. Wednesdays will also be an open class available to non-contract members ($10 mat fee applies to non-contracted members).

We offer classes in at our main location in Atlantic Beach, Ormond Beach and now in St. Augustine. Come train with us and enjoy all these locations!

2011 Promotion Ceremony at Casa Marina in Jax Bch

Victor will hold the 2011 end-of-year promotion ceremony on Wednesday, December 21st at Casa Marina Hotel in Jacksonville Beach. The ceremony will begin around 8pm. Master Manuel begins with a good grip to attack Victor's arm

Victor knows his arm is in trouble and begins to posture out of the submission attempt.

Victor manages to save his arm from the armbar attempt but has exposed his left arm to the oma plata.

Manuel figure-fours his legs to trap Victor's left arm and grabs Victor's belt to prevent him from rolling out of the submission.

Manuel grips Victor's collar and sits up to finish the oma plata submission!

David “The Bus” Takes Silver in Miami Open
